pilates for back pain

PILATES FOR BACK PAIN & INJURY
At our Pilates Studios, 90% of our clients attend Pilates for back pain & rehabilitation for back injury. In our clinical Pilates Studios, individualised stretches and exercises are given to each individual throughout the entire group session.

We have clients recommended to us by chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapist and GPs. Our studio uses concepts and philosophies from the original Pilates Method with the latest scientific research. If you suffer from back pain & injury, then we can certainly help you!

TYPES OF BACK PAIN & INJURY?
Our Individualised Pilates Classes are brilliant for:

  • General aches & pains
  • Disc bulge / Herniated disc
  • Facet joint injuries
  • Compressed discs
  • Slipped disc / Spondylolisthesis
  • Muscle strain or sprain
  • Repetitive stress injuries
  • Postural & biomechanical weaknesses
  • Scoliosis
  • Kyphosis
  • Lordosis
  • Sciatica
  • Vertebral fracture
  • Arthritis
  • Spinal stenosis

HOW TO BEGIN?
Firstly you must book into an individual musculoskeletal assessment. This is where we can have a chat about your goals, do a full body postural assessment, and you will be shown stretches suited for your individual needs. You are also taught breathing techniques and how to engage your core correctly. From this assessment, the instructor designs an individual Pilates exercise program for your specific needs.

Once your assessment is complete, you can then book into any of our group classes. Our group classes contain no more than 5 clients. Small classes are run to ensure each client receives individual needs and attention throughout. It is like you have a personal trainer throughout the entire session!

WHICH CLASS TYPE IS SUITABLE FOR YOU?
For back pain and injury it is best to begin with our Clinical Pilates Classes which are suitable for all ages, abilities & injuries, as each client will be given a personal exercise program.

WHAT TO BRING?
Socks are to be worn during your workout. Socks with sticky rubber on the bottom can be purchased from our studio for $15. Sweat towels are supplied at our studio. Please wear something that you can comfortably stretch in.

16 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
As our classes are so small and personalised, they are very popular and busy. Therefore we have a 16hr late cancellation policy to help clients who are put on a waitlist. Please give 16hrs notice to cancel bookings.

16 hour late cancellation fee applies for all bookings made

Improvement of my disc bulge is a great relief!

I have found the knowledge, expertise, professionalism and personal attention of Inner Strength Pilates Studio exceptional. After treatments by different Physiotherapists that gave no real benefits, the improvements of my disc bulge & core strength through Inner Strength Pilates are a great relief!

No longer do I suffer from any back pain!

My Osteopath recommended me to Inner Strength Pilates Studio. Pilates has helped to treat my disc bulge. No longer do I suffer from any back pain. I highly recommend Inner Strength Pilates Studio. My instructor is very patient and the classes are small so you get a lot of one on one attention, which I find fantastic.

My back pain has completely gone!

My line of work involves a lot of heavy laborious work and my back has always given me trouble. I decided to take a more proactive approach in managing my back pain and substitute the Physio & Chiro sessions with core strength building Pilates. I have been attending sessions at Inner Strength Pilates Studio for 3 months now. My back pain has completely gone and my posture and core strength has greatly improved. I had no idea how important core strength was before starting with Inner Strength!
